Mohammed Shami, an Indian cricket team fast bowler, has finally addressed the rumors of connecting him with Sania Mirza, the tennis star. Shami expressed frustration at those who started to spread the rumors. Multiple social media platforms have posted several posts speculating that Shami and Sania are about to get married soon. To make the posts genuine, they have manipulated images showing Shami and Sania together.
The rumors seem to have originated from fans calling the two athletes a “tailor – made couple”. Mohammed Shami and Sania Mirza have been subjected to recent rumors about their possible marriage. Although both have denied the rumors. Shami has spoken out against the spread of misinformation on social media.
Shami has been separated from his wife, Hasin Jahan, and Sania Mirza recently divorced her husband, Shoaib Malik. The fans have connected both the athletes, Shami and Sania together. Some have even edited the photos of the two together in their wedding attire. By researching the truth, it came out that one of these images was taken from Sania’s first marriage to Shoaib Malik, and another from Shami’s first marriage to Hasin Jahan. All the photos were merged together to create a fake image of Shami and Sania altogether.
There was a recent interaction with Shubhankar Mishra on the YouTube channel. On that platform Shami was asked about his confirmation of the news spreading all across the social media platforms. Shami was frustrated that the ones responsible were circulating such fake news without even knowing the actual facts or truth about their lives.
The fast bowler even asked the people to refrain from creating baseless rumors for entertainment purposes. He also added that, although these memes may provide entertainment, they can also be harmful. Shami, while interacting, said, “I urge everyone to be responsible with social media and refrain from spreading such unfounded news.”
Shami blasted them and said that he found the rumors strange and intentional, seemingly done for trivial amusement. He also mentioned that if he checked his phone, he would likely see those memes. He added that memes are made for fun, but if they are related to someone’s life, then you must think about it and then share such things. It is important to consider their impact if they are related to someone’s life before sharing them.
Criticizing people for sharing content from unverified sources and spreading unchecked information indiscriminately, Shami added, ” Lekin mai ek hi cheez bolna chahunga – agar aap mein dum hai toh aap verified page se bolke dikhao, fir hum batate hai. Dusre ki taang kheechna bohot asaan hai. Success achieves karo, apna level upar kro. Tab main manunga aap acche insaan hai.” (But I would like to say one thing – if you have guts to say all these things on a verified platform, then I will reply. Try achieving success, helping people, and upgrading yourself, then I will believe that you are a good human being).
Lastly, Sania Mirza’s father, Imran Mirza, reacted to the reports, calling them “rubbish.” He also stated that, “This is all rubbish. She has not even met him.”
Both the athletes became the talk of the town after the rumors spread like wildfire on the internet. Although this was done for entertainment purposes by the fans, it has intentionally ruined private life of both the individuals. No one has the right to do so, hence it is important to respect the privacy of every individual.
