Earlier in February this year, the Deputy Chief Minister had unveiled a vote-on-account budget for the current fiscal amounting to ₹2,75,000 crore of which ₹2,00,000 crore only was the revenue expenditure and ₹29,000 crore only the capital expenditure.
Vikramarka has pledged that he would present a balanced budget knowing the fact that the state is in a very bad position financially. But, there is doubt raised if this loan waiver scheme will have a separate budgetary provision.
Many people are likely to have keen interest fixed on the presentation of the budget because it will indicate the Governments strategies to harness the development of the state’s economy and the management of its finances.
