Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma the longest-running and most loved television show will no longer have Kush Shah playing the role of “Goli” he had left the popular show after 16 long years. His character was one of the most loved and popular characters of the show saddening many of the followers of the TV show.
Earlier in June there was speculation that Kush Shah would quit the show to continue his studies abroad however, he denied the claims at that time. But on 26 July, it was confirmed that he was indeed leaving the popular sitcom. The makers and cast members of the show were seen throwing him a farewell party in a video shared on YouTube. Highlights from Kush’s time as Goli were shown in a video montage including videos of him having fun on set and dancing. Along with this, the show has started a new chapter as they introduced the new actor who will replace Kush Shah.
While talking about his journey as a TMKOC actor Kush expressed: “When this show started, you and I met I was very young, and you have given me a lot of love since then. And this family had given me as much love as you have given me, I have made a lot of memories here and have enjoyed a lot “
Showing his gratitude to Asit Modi, he added that I want to thank the creator Asit Modi who has encouraged and believed in me.
Asit Modi also remarked how Kush’s whole childhood was spent on the sets and how he has been consistent throughout his work period, at last, he thanked him and wished him all the best for his new chapter in life.
As he leaves, Kush gets emotional “ I’ll make all of you proud. Thank you so much I have completed 16 years in this show. The journey of these 16 years was very beautiful, it was beautiful only because of your love so remembering your love I take leave from the show. But yes only I Kush Shah take your leave, your Goli will remain the same, the same happiness, the same laughter, the same mischief. An actor might change in Taarak, but not the character.
The famous character of the show, Jethalal who is played by respected actor Dilip Joshi shared an emotional message for his fellow cast member Kush in his Instagram story, Dilip shared an onscreen photo of him and Kush with this he wrote “ This pinch is for leaving us. jokes apart, I have enjoyed every scene I have done with you. Wishing you the best! May you continue to spread smiles! looking forward to seeing you go far like a bandook ki “ Goli” now!
