Sona Devi University Hosts Induction cum Orientation Program 2024

Sona Devi University situated at Ghatshila conducted Induction cum Orientation Program for the academic session 2024-25 on 08-August-2021 at Michael John Auditorium, Jamshedpur. The event was a freshers’ assembling which sought to encourage new students in order to attain their academic and other ambitions.

The occasion was presided by Mr. Premranjan the Regional Director of Adityapur Project JIADA as chief guest. Speaking during the occasion, he commended SDU for the efforts that has been made in ensuring that students get the best in terms of education environment, urged the students to work hard in achievement of their dreams and at the same time beneficiary the society. He had condemned injustice and encouraged the protection of the weak and the recognition of people’s right to opinions.

The special guest of the evening Mr. U. N. Pathak, the editor-in-chief of a news paper stressed on the need to gain the theoretical knowledge as well as acquire the in-depth first hand experience while in the university. He called on students all to pay more attention to internships while studying to guarantee success.

Mr. Udit Agarwal, the editor of another news paper, further said that students should try to understand their potential, and be unique in their approach if they wanted to succeed.

The Leader of the House, Hon. Mr. Prabhakar Singh presented the picture of the university’s educational activities and prospects. He thanked the people who stood by SDU to bring it to where it is today and urged the students to look for their bliss in their striving.

Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr. ) J. P. Mishra said investment of the future is on campus and hoping that the students will carve out a successful future where there will be no short cuts in life and everyone will have to work hard.

The chief guests of the function were appreciated by Registrar Dr. Gulab Singh Azad and souvenirs were rewarded along with shawls. Initially, lamps were lit and the Shri Ganesh Vandana was recited along with Saraswati Vandana and a dance performance was presented by the students of SDU. A local Rock band ‘Band Safar’ from Jamshedpur was on stage; making the young generation joyfully dance.

A video message also presented Such activities, education programs, and the accomplishment of Sona Devi University. The heads of faculty were introduced and few of the distinguished guest of the event includes union leaders, social workers etc to bless the occasion.

The final event of the program was the singing of national anthem, Which was followed by the vote of thanks by the Registrar Dr. Gulab Singh Azad thanked to all the guests, students and their parents.
