Jamshedpur, August 20, 2024 – In a remarkable achievement, Katyayani Singh, a 10th-grade student of Netaji Subhash Public School, has made India proud by winning two silver and one bronze medal in the prestigious Asian Open School Invitational Aquatic Competition held in Bangkok. This outstanding performance has brought glory not only to her school but also to the entire nation.

Katyayani’s exceptional talent and dedication to swimming were evident in her impressive wins in the 200 meters and 50 meters freestyle events, where she secured silver medals. Additionally, she showcased her versatility by winning a bronze medal in the 50 meters butterfly event.

What makes Katyayani’s achievement even more remarkable is that she was the only swimmer from Jamshedpur to participate in the competition, which saw participation from 10 students from across the country. Despite the stiff competition, Katyayani held her ground and emerged victorious.

Katyayani’s success is a testament to her hard work and determination. She underwent rigorous swimming training in Bengaluru, balancing it with her studies. Her father, Krishna Murari, credited her success to her constant practice, self-discipline, and determination to push beyond her limits.
