The baby was born at Mumbai’s HN Reliance Hospital, where the couple was seen arriving with their family members. The news has brought immense joy to their fans and the film fraternity, although an official statement from the couple is still awaited.
Arrival at the Hospital On Sunday, Deepika and Ranveer, along with their family members, were spotted arriving at the hospital. The couple managed to avoid the paparazzi’s cameras as they sat inside their curtained car. Shortly after their arrival, their family members were also seen entering the hospital, indicating the much-anticipated moment was near.
Seeking Blessings Just days before the birth, the couple was seen seeking blessings at the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai. Pregnancy Announcement Deepika and Ranveer announced their pregnancy in February this year with a heartwarming joint post on social media. The post, which read “September 2024,” was adorned with cute motifs of baby clothes, shoes, and balloons. The couple also shared pictures from their maternity photoshoot, where Deepika proudly flaunted her baby bump with Ranveer by her side, radiating happiness and excitement.
New Beginnings Reports suggest that the couple might start this new chapter of their life in a new house. It is believed that Deepika and Ranveer might move into a luxurious apartment in Bandra, next to superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow, Mannat. The couple’s new residence is expected to occupy floors 16 to 19 of the building and will feature a private terrace, providing ample space for their growing family.
Their Love Story Deepika and Ranveer’s love story began in 2013 on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film “Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-Leela.” During an appearance on Karan Johar’s chat show “Koffee with Karan,” Ranveer shared that he felt a spark during their first meeting. He recalled a moment when he pointed out something on Deepika’s teeth, and she asked him to clean it. For Ranveer, this was their “moment of spark,” and he felt a “440 watt jolt” when he put his pinky finger in her mouth. Despite being “technically allowed” to date others, they kept coming back to each other and were inseparable during the shoot. Ranveer knew she was “the one” six months into dating her.
The couple got engaged in 2015, keeping it hidden from the world for three years. Ranveer proposed to Deepika in the Maldives, in a romantic setting on a sliver of sand in the middle of the sea. Deepika’s parents were initially shocked but soon came on board with the engagement.
Wedding and Celebrations In November 2018, Deepika and Ranveer got married in a close-knit ceremony at Lake Como, Italy. They hosted several wedding receptions in India and shared a few photos from the ceremony on social media, which they later deleted. On their fifth wedding anniversary, the couple shared their wedding video with fans. Their wedding videographer, Vishal Punjabi, mentioned that sometimes beautiful moments are kept private to avoid the “nazar” (evil eye).
During an NRI convention in San Jose in 2022, Ranveer revealed that he had learned Konkani to ensure he could understand conversations between Deepika and their future children.
Professional Commitments Since announcing her pregnancy, Deepika has continued to work on two films. She was seen on the sets of “Singham Again,” marking her first appearance in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. Additionally, she filmed for Nag Ashwin’s “Kalki 2898 AD.” Nag Ashwin mentioned in an interview that there were two days when Deepika’s “actual child also acted in the movie.”
Future Plans Deepika plans to resume work in 2025, dedicating the next few months to her newborn. Her maternity leave is expected to last until March next year, after which she will begin filming the sequel of “Kalki” alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Prabhas. She will also be seen in Rohit Shetty’s ensemble cop drama “Singham Again,” which also stars Ranveer.
The arrival of their baby girl marks a new and joyous chapter in Deepika and Ranveer’s lives, and their fans eagerly await more updates from the couple.
