September 17, 2024 – Tata Steel Jamshedpur (TSJ) has achieved a significant milestone by being recognized as the National Energy Leader in Energy Management for the first time at the 25th National Awards for Excellence in Energy Management 2024. The event was held in Hyderabad from September 10-12.
In addition to this prestigious title, TSJ also secured the Excellent Energy Efficient Unit and Most Useful Presentation awards in the Metals category. These accolades highlight the company’s unwavering commitment to energy efficiency and innovation.
The winning team included members from various divisions such as Iron Making, Shared Services (FMD), Steel Making, Environment Management, and Shikhar. Key team members were Nitin Lodha, Vipul Gupta, Muruganarayanan G, Pratyush Ranjan Samantaray, Smriti Mishra, and Priyanshu Sinha.
The awards were presented by notable figures including Milind Deore, Director at the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India; Ravichandran Purushothaman, Chairman, Energy Efficiency Council, CII-Godrej GBC; and Sai D Prasad, Chairman, CII Telangana State Council and Executive Director of Bharat Biotech.
