Narendra Modi and Sheikh Hasina to jointly inaugurate three development projects today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will jointly inaugurate three development projects through video conferencing at 11 am today. These projects are being implemented with the assistance of India. These include the Akhora-Agartala cross border rail link, Khulna-Mongla-Port rail line and the second unit of Maitri Super Thermal Power Plant. These projects are being implemented by Bangladesh-India Friendship Electricity Company Limited. India’s NTPC Limited and Bangladesh Power Development Board have equal stake in this joint venture company. These projects will boost communication and energy security in the region.
