Andhra Pradesh: Government Staff Receive Salaries on the First of the Month After a Long Gap
VIJAYAWADA: After a prolonged period, state government employees in Andhra Pradesh are celebrating as most of them have received their monthly salaries on the first day of the month. The timely salary disbursement has brought relief to many.
According to employee union leaders, salaries were credited to employees’ accounts on July 1, with pensions also being disbursed simultaneously. This development comes after a gap during which employees faced delays in receiving their salaries. Some departments had experienced delays of up to two to three weeks, affecting both regular and outsourcing staff.
A senior official expressed gratitude for the prompt salary payment, stating, “For the past two years, we had been receiving salaries in the second or third week. Outsourcing employees sometimes faced even longer gaps. This timely disbursement is a positive step.”
The state government’s commitment to ensuring timely salaries is commendable, and employees hope this trend continues in the future.
