Meta AI, using the newest Meta Llama 3 model, works in WhatsApp and can be applied as separate chat window and as a tab in personal or group chats. Users interact with the Meta AI where they can use @MetaAI to ask questions plan trips draw pictures or even ask for jokes. This unity also implies that the user does not have to switch between different applications to receive live data or create other content.
Meta AI can also create images – this is one of the key competencies of the service. The users can put inputs to the AI requiring images and it uses Microsoft’s Bing service to provide real-time details and images. The generated images are good but there are some restrictions like not able to generate images of people’s or religious personalities.
Nonetheless, it must pointed out that the Meta AI, which is involved in the conversation, is not end-to-end-encrypted in the way that a regular WhatsApp conversation is. This is an implication to the fact that while the user interacts with Meta AI, the queries and responses entered in the text field are taken by Meta to train the AI.
Meta AI is now available in seven new languages; Hindi and the Revised Hindi alphabet. Meta AI can now interact with the users in Hindi, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish languages. Meta AI also increases the availability in 22 countries inclusive of Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and Cameroon.
