The Supreme Court today dismissed a plea seeking to delay the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) PG 2024 exam, which is scheduled for August 11. The court emphasized that it would be unjust to jeopardize the future of 2 lakh students. The petitioners argued that the cities designated for the exam were highly inconvenient for candidates. However, Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, along with Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Mishra, stated that the court would not reschedule the exam, nor could it risk the future of so many candidates.

Initially, the exam was set for June 23, 2024, but the Union Health Ministry postponed it due to reports of irregularities in other competitive examinations.
This year’s NEET PG exam will be conducted at 500 examination centers across the country.
