Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his pride and appreciation for the Indian athletes who participated in the 2024 Paris Olympics. In a social media post, PM Modi lauded the efforts of the entire Indian contingent, stating that every athlete gave their best and made the nation proud.
The 2024 Paris Olympics, which concluded recently, saw a total of 117 Indian athletes participating across 16 sports. India secured a total of six medals, including one silver and five bronze medals, finishing at the 71st position in the overall medal tally.

The 2024 Paris Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, were held in Paris, France, from July 26 to August 11, 2024. The games featured a total of 10,000 athletes from 206 countries, competing in 32 sports and 5 new sports added to the Olympic program.
PM Modi’s praise for the Indian athletes comes as a boost to the country’s sporting community, emphasizing the government’s commitment to supporting and encouraging sports development in India.
