Jamshedpur, – The Coordination Committee of Trade Unions-Kolhan organized a tribute meeting in memory of former Chief Minister of West Bengal and Politburo Member of CPM, Comrade Budhadev Bhattacharya, on August 13, 2024, at the Hindustan Building auditorium in Bistupur, Jamshedpur.
The meeting saw participation from various leftist trade unions, including Insurance, Bank, Railway, Sales Representative Union, Janwadi Mahila Sangh, Janwadi Lekhak Sangh, and CITU.

Speakers at the meeting highlighted Comrade Bhattacharya’s life, his commitment to leftist ideology, and his simplicity and honesty. They remembered him as a leader who dedicated his life to the cause of the working class and the poor.
Prominent trade union leaders, including Comrades Bishwajit Deb, Amit Maiti, Piyush Gupta, Jaya Majumdar, Tapas Chattaraj, Sujay Rai, Sukanto Sharma, and Ashok Shubhadarshi, were present at the meeting.
The tribute meeting was a testament to Comrade Bhattacharya’s enduring legacy and his contributions to the leftist movement.
