Pakur, Jharkhand, August 18, 2024: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren launched the “Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana” in Pakur district today, just ahead of Raksha Bandhan. During the launch, he transferred the first installment of ₹1,000 each to the bank accounts of 57,120 women beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Under the scheme, women aged 21 to 50 will receive ₹1,000 per month, amounting to ₹12,000 annually. By August 31, the initial ₹1,000 will be deposited into all beneficiaries’ accounts, with future payments scheduled for the 15th of each month starting in September.
The “Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana” is set to benefit 4.8 million women across Jharkhand. Chief Minister Soren also directed that beneficiaries be notified via SMS and stressed the need for awareness campaigns to protect recipients from potential cyber fraud targeting DBT payments.
