A comprehensive review meeting was organized in the auditorium of the Saraikela district headquarters town to meticulously examine the works and schemes being implemented through various departments. The meeting was chaired by the esteemed Mr. Sameer Kumar Mahanthy, Chairman of the Environment and Pollution Control Committee of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, and attended by Committee member Mr. Samari Lal, Deputy Development Commissioner Mr. Prabhat Kumar Bardiar, and officials from all concerned departments.

In-Depth Review of Departmental Schemes

Commencing the proceedings of the meeting, Chairman Mr. Sameer Kumar Mahanthy conducted a thorough review of the works and schemes being run through the departments, scrutinizing each point in detail. Committee member Mr. Samari Lal sought information from departmental officers based on the updated action report received by the Environment and Pollution Control Committee under the detector clause and the report of the implemented schemes, providing necessary instructions to ensure effective implementation.

Public Welfare Schemes and Environmental Protection

The Committee Chairman and member also meticulously reviewed reports related to public welfare schemes being run through different departments, including activities being carried out for environmental protection and pollution control within the district. The meeting aimed to assess the impact of these schemes on the environment and the public, identifying areas for improvement.

Protecting Agriculture and Rural Areas

During the meeting, Chairman Mr. Sameer Kumar Mahanthy emphasized the importance of ensuring that agriculture is not harmed due to mining, crusher, and industrial activities in various areas. He stressed that the government is running numerous schemes to increase farmers’ income and instructed officials to ensure timely distribution of equipment and seeds to all eligible farmers. Additionally, he highlighted the need for regular repair of roads and water sprinkling in rural areas directly or indirectly affected by mining.

Distinguished Officials in Attendance

The meeting was attended by distinguished officials, including Director DRDA, District Panchayati Raj Officer, District Mining Officer, Labor Superintendent, District Social Welfare Officer, District Education Officer, Executive Officer Nagar Panchayat Saraikela, and senior officers from various departments, as well as executive engineers from different executive agencies.
