Government Employees opposition in Bangladesh has refused to negotiate with the Prime Minister Shekh Hasina and demanded a single-point agenda of her resignation to support the existing quota reform movement. The Co-ordination committee of the movement disclosed this at a meeting held at Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka protesting against the government assertions of addressing their demands.

Even after the Prime Minister Hasina urging the demonstrators to discuss at Gono Bhaban to solve the violence erupted in the quota reform protest, the demonstrators are unyielding while insisting Hasina to resign. The coordinators of this movement, such as Nahid Islam and Sargis Alam, unveiled the non-cooperation movement starting from today which also entails the non-attendance of classes and tests.
The announcement comes following threats made by Bangladesh Home Minister, Asaduzzaman Khan that all demands of the students’ movement have been met and called on the students to go home without fighting for non cooperation movement. Nevertheless, the protesters are not satisfied with this decision, which has aggravated the action.
To lessen the conflict, the Prime Minister Hasina instructed the students who were detained in the Quota Reform Movement to be released and the home minister mp said that the curfew hours has been eased in Dhaka and nearby districts. Though, the protesters do not budge for their demands which results in a confrontation with the government.
