Jamshedpur: A meeting of Disha was convened in the Collectorate Auditorium, Jamshedpur, under the chairmanship of MP, Jamshedpur Vidyut Varan Mahto. The meeting aimed to review the progress of various public welfare schemes and address the concerns of public representatives.
The meeting was attended by MLA Saryu Rai, MLA Ramdas Soren, District Council President Bari Murmu, Vice President Pankaj, District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, and other departmental officers.

MP Vidyut Varan Mahto emphasized the need for sensitivity, promptness, and mutual coordination among departments to ensure the effective implementation of public welfare schemes. He stressed that all departments should work in harmony to reach the benefits of government schemes to the common people. District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal assured that public interest issues raised by public representatives would be resolved within the stipulated time frame.
The meeting reviewed the compliance report of the previous meeting and discussed instructions and compliance given earlier. The Electricity Department was directed to speed up the process of electrification in non-electrified villages and replace worn-out electricity wires and temporary electricity poles within the next two months. Additionally, the department was instructed to insure linemen working on contract to ensure they receive proper compensation in case of an accident.
The Water Supply department was instructed to remove discrepancies in rural water supply schemes and repair minor faults at the district level or from DMFT funds. The Education department was directed to implement basic facilities like construction of additional rooms in schools, boundary walls, and hand pumps for drinking water from DMFT funds. The department was also instructed to bring information and awareness among school management and parents for enrollment of 25 percent children of poor families in private schools under Ruar Abhiyan.
The Health department was instructed to ensure treatment through Ayushman card and monitor the status of 108 ambulance service. The department was also directed to conduct surprise inspections to ensure regular presence of ANM in primary health centers and availability of medicines.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to ensuring the effective implementation of public welfare schemes and addressing the concerns of public representatives.
