“Railway Budget Prioritizes Safety: Rs 1 Lakh Crore Allocated for Rail Security Measures”

 

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said that a significant part of the Railway Budget has been allocated for enhancing the safety of trains. In New Delhi today, Mr Vaishnav said that out of the total budget of about Rs 2.62 lakh crore, more than Rs 1 lakh crore has been kept for rail safety measures. He said that in the last ten years, 31 thousand new tracks and 40 thousand kilometers of railway lines have been electrified.

The Railway Minister said that a record budget of Rs 5,147 crore has been allocated for Punjab. He said that this budgetary allocation is 23 times more than the UPA government. Mr Vaishnav said that 30 stations in Punjab are being redeveloped as Amrit Bharat stations.

Mr Vaishnav said that Rs 9,959 crore has been allocated for Rajasthan. He said that this allocation is 14 times more than the UPA government. Mr Vaishnav said that 85 stations in Rajasthan are being redeveloped as Amrit Bharat stations. The Railway Minister said that a record amount of Rs 2,582 crore has been allocated for Delhi.
